About Cathy...

It was my fascination for people and what makes them tick that attracted me to a career in marketing. Armed with a degree in the subject, I set off on my ascent through the corporate ranks in 1990, working for United Biscuits up in Grimsby.

During the next ten years, I worked with some of the best people, companies and brands in the world. Working with brands such as Heinz, Gillette, Wilkinson Sword, McVitie’s and Young’s, I was part of making some of the best businesses in the world even better. I had also had the opportunity to work in other countries, such as Russia and the USA, which gave me a much broader appreciation of how businesses thrive in different cultures. It was also fascinating to experience different ways of life!

By 2000, my inner entrepreneur was fighting to get out, so I set up Marketing Formula, a business consultancy. With clients such as Coca-Cola, Procter & Gamble, Pfizer, Premier Foods and Hazlewood Foods, I was able to help in areas as diverse as business review and turnaround, sales development in new sectors, new launches, new promotions and growing profitability.

This experience gave me a great appreciation of how successful businesses operate and grow, as well as some of the problems that occur along the way and how to overcome them.

In 2006, I decided to apply this learning to the set up of a new business in the health and fitness market. Based on a very clever piece of software that joins up the different aspects that impact on your health and fitness – what you eat, the activity you do and your motivation level – it can help people change their lives, something I feel very passionate about.

This passion to help make a difference to people also drove me to join the Infinite Group in March of this year. Working with talented owners of smaller businesses, I can combine the best practices of these truly great businesses, tried and tested tools and techniques with my real passion for their success.

This powerful combination allows me to help owners of successful businesses turn them into the truly great ones they deserve.
