Time waits for no man

I’m sure you’d agree that running your own business is not for the faint-hearted – it takes guts, determination and a lot of sheer hard work. But once you have got over the first hurdle of staying in business, life should get easier, shouldn’t it? Of course it should – after all you didn’t go into business to work yourself into an early grave!

So how come many business owners find that there never seems to be any let up in the demands on their time?

Time is our most important asset: Once it is gone, there is no getting it back. Remember as a child, how ancient age 30 seemed to be? And how quickly that fateful birthday arrived??

Caveman understood about leverage – if they could fashion a crude tool, they could achieve bigger things more quickly.

The Industrial Revolution was all about leverage, using increasingly sophisticated machines to make and do things that had previously been very difficult or even impossible.

Today, we leverage technology to communicate, shop, sell and a myriad other activities that would otherwise take a great deal of time and effort.
